Most companies only deal through agents. It is also who you know, but there are other ways if you do not see yourself making the next greatest world-wide feature film. It is all about your personal expectations and ambitions, and how realistic they are.

P.S.- I too have no degree, but have directed productions for local television. So it is possible.

Unfortunately, no they won’t

They can’t accept scripts from random people, most film companies have thousands upon thousands of wasted mail rooms of people who send in scripts and movie ideas, the producers won’t even read them unless you have a big university name behind you or some involvement of some kind in cinema (like a relative or something)

Its really harsh, but they do what they have to to ensure they keep a legitimate business

Will movie production companies accept a script from a person who has no background in film making?
I have absolutely no history in film-making, nor do I have an educational background in film-making. Oh yeah, and on top of all that, I don’t have any degree in writing. All I have is a very well thought-out script and a creative/vivid imagination. Also, I really do think I’m really good at what I do.

Do you think a film production company would accept my script even though I have no history related to the business of film-making?
